Owned and operated by Sarah Sloane, SloaneDesign, designs gardens, stages real estate, and redesigns interiors in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Sarah Sloane became interested in landscaping and interior redesign, studied them intensively, and began turning small, uninteresting properties into inviting and delightful show places. She also uses her design skills to stage real estate for increased profit and speed of sale for the homeowner. Artist, designer, dance teacher***, and children's book author, Sarah Sloane won a 2004 Less Toxic Landscaping Award for achievement in providing an attractive, healthy landscaping model*. Sarah uses no pesticides or herbicides on her own gardens and her lawn was created with veronica repens to eliminate the need for fertilizing and mowing**. She is also a member of the Master Gardener Association, The Rhode Island Solar Society, and the North American Water Garden Society (NAWGS). In 2005, her garden was included on the NAWGS July Tour.
